Using a variety of turquoise samples, you will learn what criteria to look for when buying turquoise with turquoise appraiser Joe Dan Rowley. There will also be time for a question and answer session about turquoise.
Who is Joe Dan Lowry?
In Albuquerque, New Mexico, he runs a family business that has been in business for four generations (his son, Jacob Lowry, is currently the fifth generation), buying and selling turquoise, and serves as the director of the Turquoise Museum. He is known around the world for his extensive knowledge of turquoise and the accuracy of his appraisals, and is also famous for his high level of skill in excavating rough stones from mines and cutting and polishing them for use in jewelry. He owns the world's largest and most extensive collection of turquoise, inherited from his predecessor.
Turquoise Appraisal
We will appraise the turquoise you own.
Time: July 15th (Sat) to 17th (Mon), 2023, 14:00-18:00 for all three days Price: ¥8,800 (tax included) per item
*Reservations are not required.
*This is not an appraisal of the price of turquoise. It is an appraisal of the condition and grade of the turquoise.
This is Joe Dan Lowry's first visit to Japan in about four years. Joe Dan Lowry himself is looking forward to interacting with you all as it has been a long time since his last visit to Japan. Although it is called a seminar, it will be held with a small number of people, so I hope that it will be an opportunity for Joe Dan Lowry and you to communicate a lot. This seminar should also be a great purchase hint for those who want to get turquoise.
This is also the first time that a full-scale appraisal event will be held in Japan. It will not be about assessing the value of the turquoise you own, but I think it will be a good opportunity to learn more about the turquoise you love and develop an even greater attachment to it.
There are few opportunities to participate in Joe Dan Lowry's seminar and appraisal session other than visiting the Turquoise Museum in New Mexico, USA. This is a rare opportunity, so please join us.
We look forward to your participation.
