Mining took place for only one year in 1973, with the amount mined being approximately 49 kg. Lander Blue is also known as the Hat Mine, meaning that only enough was produced to fit in a hat. It is a very valuable turquoise. It is characterized by a dark blue color with a distinct black spider web-like matrix.
