This turquoise was mined from a mine called Lone Mt.

[Lone Mountain] Nevada. Formerly known as Blue Jay Turquoise. It was most abundant in the 1970s. It is said that the only turquoise better than Lone Mountain is Lander Blue. Its value is based on the low production volume and its high quality, which means it hardly changes or fades.
