This turquoise was mined from a mine called Lone Mountain and is a one-of-a-kind handmade piece made by Native American Art Platero.
[Lone Mountain] Lone Mountain, Nevada. Formerly known as Blue Jay Turquoise. It was most abundant in 1970. It is said that the only turquoise better than Lone Mountain is Lander Blue. Its value is based on the low production volume and its high quality, which hardly changes or fades.
