This turquoise was mined from a mine called Number 8.

[Number 8] Number Eight was discovered in northeastern Nevada in 1925 and is now closed. It is mostly pale sky blue with a golden brown matrix, but some are dark blue. It is relatively easy to distinguish from other types of turquoise because of its distinctive web color and formation.
